I admit, I’m kind of a nerd. I grew up wanting to play with a computer more than my friends. From since I remember I have always wanted to be  creative in some way. That way quickly became the digital. It wasn’t till I was the tender age of 15 that I designed and built my first website, I even got payed for it. I had never even attempted anything like that before. I’m ashamed to say I didn’t even know what HTML or CSS was.

However from there on out I became hooked, learning everything and anything about the web and its possibilities. Since then my passion has grown past my wildest expectations, but still i hunger for more. The best part of working with web design is that it never stops evolving.

My love for the digital universe keeps me driven, it keeps me going, it is something i see myself being involved in for a long time. It’s something I do before going to bed, and something I can’t wait to do in the morning.

My best advice is to stay motivated & never lose your focus

Most of my motivation comes from seeing the great work and success of other professionals. When I see stellar work, new ideas, or innovative tweaks to old techniques being performed by other creatives in the industry, I get excited to dive back into my own (or clients) work.

Success and satisfaction – I feel these the most when my work has helped a client become successful and also if a client receives feedback on ‘how good their design is‘ – their clients telling them ‘they really like it‘ – that’s a very motivating and fulfilling thing to hear.

Motivation drives the creative process so there’s no surprise that the opportunities ahead keep us going; the chance of designing something really special. To achieve this we must inspire ourselves and believe in our talents. Observing what’s possible, receiving positive and encouraging feedback, and having faith in our own abilities are the foundations of motivation.

Apart from the technical aspects involved in what I create, I never forget the three most important tools I have which are a good pair of hands, my mac and an idea-creating mind. It’s amazing what a single idea can achieve when it’s mixed with a bit creative passion.

Even though I design websites, I also have a passion for Illustration, Typography, Photography, and Video editing. I love having a versatile and wide range of capabilities because it keeps me motivated and interested in different ways of approaching design.

However I am glad that I came across web design as it’s a wonderful industry to be a part of.
